The "Bulletin du Glossaire des patois de la Suisse romande" was published four times a year between 1902 and 1915. Ist goals were threefold: to provide visibility to the work of the contributors to the "Glossaire des patois de la Suisse romande", to interest speakers of patois, encouraging them to contribute to work on Swiss French dialects and to initiate dialogue and exchange with researchers in Gallo-Roman dialects. The Bulletin contains many texts from the different regions of Western Switzerland.
Since 1899, the "Glossaire des patois de la Suisse romande" has been a key player in the development of the linguistic heritage of Western Switzerland. With ist exceptionally rich documentation and ist large specialized library, the Institute is primarily engaged in the scientific description of the dialects of Western Switzerland through the publication of issues of the Glossaire.
