Mémoires de la Société Fribourgeoise des Sciences Naturelles. Physiologie, hygiène, bactériologie = Mitteilungen der Naturforschenden Gesellschaft in Freiburg. Physiologie, Hygiene, Bakteriologie
The Bulletin of the Natural Sciences Society of Fribourg appears since 1879. For the years 1901 to 1944 the Society also published a series called "Mémoires". The Bulletin consists of one or two issues per year. It reports on the activities of the Society and contains scientific articles in the field of natural sciences and mathematics, primarily written by members of the society or from the science faculty of the University of Fribourg, in particular, contributions with a special reference to the Canton or the city of Fribourg.
The Society was established for the first time in 1832, and - after some years of hibernation for which unfortunately no documents exist - a second time in 1871. Actually the Society has some 300 members, mainly scientist or persons interested in natural science from the Canton on Fribourg and in particular members of the Faculty of Science of the University of Fribourg. The Society is member of the Swiss Academy of Sciences (ScNat) and attached to the Faculty of Science of the University of Fribourg.
