Succeeding the defunct Société vaudoise de Généalogie, founded in 1910, and in view of a renewed interest in genealogy, the Cercle vaudois de généalogie was founded in 1987. The Revue vaudoise de généalogie et d'histoire des familles is the annual publication of the Cercle vaudois de généalogie. In 2012, it replaced the Bulletin généalogique vaudois, which had been published since 1988. The aim of the journal is to encourage genealogical studies and historical research on topics related to family, kinship, social networks and the individual. It offers researchers, students and enthusiasts the opportunity to present the results of their research.
