The "Bündner Seminar-Blätter" was founded in 1883 by Theodor Heinrich Wiget ; his objective was to encourage continuing professional development among teachers and provide them with theoretical, practical and methodological support throughout their professional careers. From 1889 to 1891the journal's title was "Schweizerische Blätter für Erziehenden Unterricht vormals Bündner Seminarblätter". In 1892 it merged with the "Schweizerische Lehrerzeitung", then re-appeared in 1895 only to disappear permanently in April 1902.
