The Schweizer Frauen-Zeitung was published weekly from 1879 to 1912. Elise Honegger, the publisher and editor of the magazine, reported on the concerns of the women's movement at home and abroad, in addition to general articles on women's domestic tasks. Thus the Schweizer Frauen-Zeitung was one of the first commercially successful women's magazines in Switzerland.
