The architecture and design journal Hochparterre has been a key voice in the Swiss architecture and design debate since 1988. Its aims are threefold: to inform, to evaluate, and to benefit. Hochparterre is not a parish magazine published by a group of designers, and not just a trade journal either: its approach is broader, ranging from planning,architecture and landscape architecture to design in all its facets. With the help of its employees, the publication aims to be well-informed from a professional perspective while at the same time being easily comprehensible to the general public.

Hochparterre appears ten times a year. Between ten and fifteen special issues are also published each year, which provide in-depth studies of particular topics.

Hochparterre AG is an independent publisher, which publishes the Hochparterre journal and the associated special issues as well as the Hochparterre Wettbewerbe and books on architecture, urban development and design.
