Fem*Fém : das feministische Magazin mit wissenschaftlichem Blick = la revue féministe avec une perspective scientifique
The association Verein Feministische Wissenschaft Schweiz (FemWiss) was founded in 1983 by female academics and initially campaigned for the institutionalisation and subsequently the promotion of gender studies and gender equality within the Swiss higher education sector. Once its core objectives had largely been achieved, the focus shifted to its role as a bridge-builder between academia, politics and society at large.
Fem*Fém (from 2005 to 2024 FemInfo) is FemWiss's magazine and is published twice a year. Fem*Fém addresses social debates and issues from a feminist, intersectional and academic perspective. It features articles by authors from various academic disciplines, each focusing on a specific theme, as well as further articles on socio-political topics. The magazine is complemented by reviews, profiles and information about the association, as well as details of events or publications in the field of gender studies.
