The Association for Financial History (Switzerland and Principality of Liechtenstein) was founded in 1990. It was dedicated to historical issues relating to finance in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. In 2018, the association ceased its activities and transferred its remaining assets and library to the Association for Historical Research in Economics. With its monographic series «Contributions to financial history», whose volumes were published irregularly from 2002 to 2017, the association made current historical issues relating to banking and the insurance industry accessible to an interested public beyond the specialist community.
