“Études pédagogiques“ is the annual magazine of the Conférence intercantonale des chefs des Départements de l'instruction publique de la Suisse romande. It was started by François Guex with the title “Annuaire de l’instruction publique en Suisse“, aiming to be the Swiss-French counterpart of the “Jahrbuch für das Unterrichtswesen in der Schweiz“, though it shows some significant differences. It reflects teaching life and practice in Romandie and is a valuable source for the history of education in the 20th century.
The Conférence intercantonale de l’instruction publique de la Suisse romande et du Tessin (CIIP) brings together the heads of department of the following cantons : Berne, Fribourg, Genève, Jura, Neuchâtel, Ticino, Valais and Vaud. It is responsible for coordinating the educations system at a regional level.
