AlpTransit Gotthard is in charge of the project of the century. The Gotthard Base Tunnel is the centerpiece of a forward-looking new flat rail link through the Alps. In the future, passenger trains will travel through this, the longest railway tunnel in the world, with speeds of up to 250 km/h. The construction of the 57 km long Gotthard Base Tunnel is in full swing.
