Pionier: Organ der schweizerischen permanenten Schulausstellung in Bern
Der Pionier was the mouthpiece of the Schweizerische Permanente Schulausstellung (Swiss Permanent School Exhibition) in Bern between 1880 and 1929. The goal of the publication was to promote the exhibition and increase its effectiveness. It was intended to be the link between the exhibition, its visitors, the government and the authorities. Its content included news about exhibitions, communications about trends in education from home and abroad for Bernese teachers and school authorities, as well as publications by experts on the subject of primary school [American: elementary school]. In addition, it published plans and drawings of school buildings and school equipment.
